To the position of CEO of HSMC, Dennis Vicars as brought over 30 years of successful management experience. His career has spanned executive roles in both the public and private sectors and has run from Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial start-ups.

In 1993, he created the Phoenix Schools, which in seven years grew to become one of the top 20 early childhood educational institutions in the United States. (Today, the Phoenix Schools is the fifth largest.)

Vision, strategic thinking, and understanding of company and agency infrastructural needs have been the keys to Dennis’s success. His operational understanding and keen awareness of the human resources needed to be successful have helped him in building and guiding companies of all sizes in their missions.
 
In the four years that Dennis has been CEO of HSMC, the company has had a 30% growth in revenues for both itself and its clients.

Dennis serves on numerous national boards of directors, most in the areas of interest of HSMC clients. He is also considered an expert in preschool education management and issues concerning strategic growth.

Gina Ayllon | Vice President, Association Management 

As Executive Director of the Professional Association for Childhood Education (PACE) and its non-profit arm, the Professional Association for Childhood Education California Children’s Project (PCCP), Gina heads up the association management component of HSMC. 

In the field of business administration and association management for over a decade, she also oversees the work of two boards of directors, and is a leading advocate for child welfare in California.

As Director of Association Management at HSMC, she has accomplished a 66% increase in the membership base of one organization, and has expanded membership benefits to include legal, human resources, and business management support, and has established a workers compensation insurance program.

Gina has also been instrumental in launching the Bay Area Regional Council for the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE) and currently is the chair of the Council.  She holds a Certification in Association Executive (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives.

 
 
 

Christina Begley | Vice President of Operations

Christina Begley joined HSMC in 2003. Here, she works to ensure consistency and standardization throughout our organization and within our many regional offices.

Christina has lead the program management, quality control, information technology, communications and contract management divisions of HSMC. Her background includes work in the non-profit and public education sectors, with an emphasis on community development, conflict resolution and organizational development.

Christina holds a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Humboldt State University. She is also a certified mediator and facilitator who has worked closely with the Institute for Study of Alternative Dispute Resolution to develop training models for professionals working in social service industries. She is an active volunteer in the Bay Area community, working with such organizations as Shanti AIDS/HIV Support Services and the Peninsula Conflict.
