Professional associations have remarkable powers to accomplish the goals of their members. Often, however, the members  do not have the time to invest to work on these goals every day – and the association does not have the financial resources to invest in the overhead of a full-time office and staff.

HSMC -- "We help you achieve your mission" -- to the rescue.


As association managers, we focus on three objectives:

1. Membership Services
  • We call, write, e-mail, fax, develop newsletters, send announcements – handling all aspects of membership communication, including website updates.
  • We recruit new members.
  • We develop and implement plans for the retention of current members.
  • We coordinate all member committees and projects.
  • We enhancing existing branding and work on programs to further develop association recognition and respect.
     
2. Operations Management
  • We develop budgets and keep accurate, up to date financial records.
  • We coordinate communication among members, prospects, and vendors.
  • We plan for meetings of the board of directors, committees, advisory groups.
  • We prepare and disseminate meetings minutes, newsletters, brochures, and all other informational material on the association and its work.
  • We stay informed of relevant legislation, provide legislative advocacy, and keep the membership informed of policy issues.
  • We lead and coordinate all board and staff training sessions and seminars.
  • We problem-solve and trouble-shoot issues of the association and, as requested, for individual members. 
3. Conferences and Education
  • We create annual and/or semiannual conferences for the associations, including helping with site selection and contracts, promotion and communication with members and prospective members, scheduling of events and speakers and vendors, coordination of site and accommodation logistics, after-conference debriefings and strategic planning.
